Access data/server log files
We automatically collect and save information transmitted to us by your browser. These relate to

  • the type/version of the browser
  • the operating system used
  • the referrer URL (the previous page visited)
  • the host name of the computer requesting access (IP address)
  • the time of the server request
  • the quantity of data transferred, and
  • the notification stating whether the data was successfully retrieved

Once they are no longer in use, users’ IP addresses will be deleted or anonymised. During anonymisation, IP addresses are altered in such a way that individual items of information relating to personal or material circumstances can no longer be attributed to an identified or identifiable natural person, without expending a disproportionately large amount of time, money or effort.

We will evaluate the data in the log files in anonymised form, in order to continue improving the website, to make its design more user-friendly and in order to locate and rectify faults more rapidly. The data will additionally be used to control the server capacities, so that suitable data volumes can be made available if needed.
